What’s Your Problem?
To the man who just had to complain
My fellow dog people, do you run across those folks who just have to complain about your precious pup, even when said pup is behaving perfectly?The people who just can’t allow you and your dog to be out in public, just doing your thing?
I seem to meet one of these cranky folks at least once a week. That’s a pic of my darling Rosie in her red snowsuit. She is actually breaking the law in this photo! She is [gasp] NOT LEASHED. Never mind that it is 6:30 am and that it is snowing, and that no one else (except Mr. NosyButt complainer)is in the vicinity. He feels compelled to yell at me,“That dog needs to be on a leash!”
We are in a small park. Yes, I realize it is not a dog park, but no one is nearby. Can my dog please have a few moments to gleefully romp in the snow? It’s 6:30 am! Who are we disturbing?
Of course, my Rosie doesn’t get offended like her Mama does. As soon as she hears the man yell, she stops playing, and sits by my side, waiting to be leashed. I know what she’s thinking, “Moi? I need to be on a leash? Don’t think so!” Her Mama adds [under her breath], “Kill joy, mothafucka.”
Rosie doesn’t use such vile language.
