Most US citizens are naive about the manufacturing of consent, and end up stating opinions that they think are their own, when in fact, all they have done is connect the dots that the ruling elites have so cleverly placed along the paths of their everyday lives.

In this land of continual mass shootings and train derailments; of rising serious illnesses and falling life expectancies; of rising prices and rising unemployment, of imminent environmental disasters, most citizens didn’t even notice that Congress chose to tackle the biggest problem our nation currently faces (at least according to their corporate puppet masters):

H.Con.Res.9 — Denouncing the horrors of socialism.

Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That Congress denounces socialism in all its forms, and opposes the implementation of socialist policies in the United States of America.

Passed the House of Representatives February 2, 2023.

Read the whole text, using the above link, if you really want to see how the majority of our representatives show their ignorance regarding socialism, and also their blind obedience to their corporate puppet masters’ dictates.

Of course, H.Con.Res.9 was never meant to be seriously discussed; it is a political tactic meant to “smear” candidates who don’t adhere to the status quo of unrestrained capitalism, with the label of “socialist”, (a word that still strikes fear in the hearts of many Americans); thus setting the scene for the rationalization of budget cuts for “safety net” programs such as Social Security and Medicare.

It’s simply a part of the game played in Washington, DC to keep the duopoly playing by the rules, thus continuing to reap profits for the corporations, who are the real policy makers in the US.

It is crucial that “we, the people” remain terrorized by the concept of socialism (it’s so dangerous that we even need a law to denounce the horror of it), so that we toe the line, and just accept our fate as the way things are.

One hundred and nine Democrats — many of them…
