This thought is so beautiful! I am a big fan of Thich Nhat Hanh, and I had a similar reaction (that his words were repetitive) when I first read his work. Now, I realize, the repetition is a tactic to slow us down. I just wanted to "get to the point" "finish the book". But that is not living in the present moment, but rather a form of rushing to the next thing. I agree with you, though, that it is hard to live life this way. Constant practice is the realm of monks and nuns, I think. And, yes, I too like to think!
