The Rule of Seven
“Oh, Jean, why do you think you can change the world?”
My heartfelt article on injustice is not going to make the MAGA crowd shout, “Jean, you are freakin’ amazing! Reading that piece made me cast aside all my prejudices! Oh, Lord, my mind has been opened!”
Of course, I don’t write for the MAGA folks, and I doubt any of them explore my wordsmithery. I write to soothe my own soul, to search for my tribe, and to open my mind to the viewpoints of others.
To be honest, I do also carry a smidgen of hope that my words will open the doors in the minds of others, even if just a small crack, with the chain still locked.
I’m not trying to sway anyone to follow the gospel according to Jean. That would be scary shit! There is no gospel of Jean; anyone who adheres strictly to their own opinions, no variance allowed, is not to be trusted.
But, by publishing a few stories every week, mostly about injustice, awareness, and capitalist greed, I hope that those who feel a kinship in the quest to make the world a better place, might take a step towards activism.

What we should be doing instead of what we’re doing.
That’s why I keep writing. I am following The Rule of 7 marketing strategy:
And just like a small stream of water erodes a boulder (okay, I’m being dramatic), I’m hoping that my words (along with the sage words of others), will chip away at adherence to the status quo, and create a congregation of protestors. Will you join the resistance? Can I hear an amen!
And for those of you who find it ironic that this ardent anti-capitalist is employing a rule from the world of business — Congrats for being alert! Your bull-shit meter may have been triggered. Bull-shit meters are important. They urge us to examine more thoroughly.
I hope you will examine my words. My writing is sincere, my concern authentic. Read 7 of my articles. Decide for yourself.
Let’s fight injustice together.
