Solutions the World Keeps Ignoring
Believing we can make a difference
Here in the United States, we are truly stuck. People here, who are searching for news and analysis, rely on a biased media for information. I write a lot about the corporate media that works to keep the public divided and ignorant.
Many of the media outlets brag of exploring the issues from both sides, implying that there are only two sides — Republicans and Democrats. Most intelligent people can see that our two-party system is broken, so why are we limiting ourselves to looking for answers through the lens of that broken system?
I realize that we do have more than two political parties in the US, but the attitude of most voters in this country is that a vote for anyone other than the Democrat or the Republican candidate is a vote wasted, and the media surely reinforces that attitude.
Because the media is corporate, it really doesn’t matter if a Democrat or a Republican is elected, because both parties are backed by corporate interests.
