Our society wants to view 18 year olds as adults, when they are clearly not. Brain science has to be talked about more. When I tell older people about how the brain isn't fully developed till a person is in their 20's, I get the response that I am making excuses for teenagers. Just because someone was married with kids at 18 years ago, doesn't mean that they were mature.
