We've already had a Trump presidency, and most of the things he threatened never actually occurred. He is appointing right-wing people to fill his cabinet, but the people who actually staff those positions (the clerks, secretaries, lawyers, etc) have to do the actual work, and they can choose to just sit on it, or to resign. There is resistance, but too many people don't hear about it because they are not aware of or tuning into the few sites that are offering real solutions. Most (not all) social media spreads disinformation and loves the drama of fear mongering. Don't get paralyzed by fear. There are still good people who are finding solutions, but most people won't spend an hour to watch a conference or an interview that addresses these topics seriously. We need an educated public, but we have instead people who believe they are educated because they watch snippets of information on media sites. That's the way the powerful elites want it. A misinformed and frightened populace is easily controlled. I can understand that your fear is real, and I do not mean to belittle that fear.
