I watch as Ivy-school, educated, white people, who never held a job, graduate from university and step into high-salaried NGO jobs. They are then praised for going to places like Yemen or Iraq, as though their office work is somehow miraculously "saving" the people through "advanced technology." As you write, these people were doing just fine before they were brutally colonized.
