I feel that same pain. I listen to Chris Hedges, who reported on and was present for the toppling of several totalitarian regimes. He insists that it takes massive amounts of people in the streets, every day; they leave their jobs because they know they are just working to fall further behind. When that finally happens, in great enough numbers, the regime collapses. When the Berlin Wall fell, the troops in East Germany were told to subdue the crowds, they refused. They would not fire on their people, they had all had enough. The trouble in the US is that the totalitarian government is in the form of corporations, and most people are too brainwashed to realize it.
