Edda, you did not make me angry. I believe you understand my point, and you describe perfectly the polarization here in the US. Our people have gotten used to hearing the talking points of only 2 sides (which nowadays are more and more alike) instead of hearing of possibilities beyond what is the status quo opinion. Diplomacy and peace are no longer talked about by the Republicans or the Democrats, both candidates argue for building "the most lethal" military. The military is a huge contributor to global warming. https://ceobs.org/the-militarys-contribution-to-climate-change/

And while Trump indeed was a disastrous president (I would never consider voting for Trump), Biden actually continued the majority of Trump's policies.

President Joe Biden entered the White House promising to end drilling on public lands. Instead, he presided over a record boom in U.S. oil production. His Interior Department, which oversees the federal oil program, outpaced the Trump administration in approving new drilling permits. At the same time, Biden leased the smallest amount of public land for drilling in his first 18 months in office than any president since Harry Truman.

Our politicians are totally owned by the lobbyists. We need to overthrow our tow-party system, and although politicians have tried to do that from within the system, it hasn't worked.
