As soon as I saw the image of a dog, I knew I had to click on this! I agree with what you say about how people treat or mistreat children and dogs says something about who they are as a person. Also, though, dogs themselves are great at detecting people who don't mean well. If my very loving dog is standoffish towards someone, it is generally with good reason. Dogs are good judges of character.
